More Watercolors

When I find myself working too much on the computer I have to sometimes step away and just paint. Watercolor is the medium I've chose to master and I'll be learning how to overcome this challenging media for the rest of my days. Some water colors come out great and others not so much, this piece was painted a few times before I felt comfortable with the painting. As I came to a finish I knew I had a painting to be proud of while learning new things and accepting the mistakes. Here's to never being perfect but working like you can achieve perfection!

Monster Challenge

It's been quite some time since I've contributed to Sketch_Dailies so when I saw there challenge for monster I thought it was time to make a come back! Here's the end result, in this case the monster replaces the horse for our gallant hero!

Recent Watercolors

Sometimes more than not lately, I love working up some fan art! It seems to be what the public want to see and want to commission and it's also fun for me to create. From Star Wars to Nintendo fan art helps me and my audience relate to the world we continue to grow in and link us together. Besides we all know that toon
Link is the cutest game hero to date, am I right!?! Of course watercolor so happens to be my favorite way to painting and to create!

It's Fall Y'all!

Daily sketch: Celebrating the first day of Fall with a couple of Peanuts! Charlie Brown is always a great reminder of this time of year, thanks to the Great Pumpkin and Thanksgiving television specials. These shows allow me to fantasize that I live in a state of seasonal change. The painted backgrounds really define the mood of the season for me, they truly reflect the weather changing with just the color of the sky. One day I hope to live in a state where fall is felt and lingers for a while.

DON'T FALL!

Sometimes when I'm talking with my son we come up with captions or catch phrases and I'll turn them into a drawing. After drawing my mountain climbing ninja I asked my son for a caption, "Don't Fall!!" he yelled out. Works for me! My son is my to go to guy when it comes to ideas, he's smarter than the average bear!

New Sketch Dailies and more!

Here's a few images from recent #Sketch_Dailies challenges. Sometimes I don't like the challenge for the day so I'll come up with my own challenge and that's how I got Samurai Mickey. More art to post soon! With teaching at home and taking care of the family takes a great deal of care and time. With that being said I'm working on some personal projects I hope will bare fruit! Samurai Mickey, Count Chocula(daimyo Chocula),Bulbasaur, and Harry Potter with Hedwig.

More Star Wars!!

SO I think this is it for awhile, as far as Star Wars illustrations are concerned! Its been way too much fun exploring these characters and having a good time with their design. If the art you make isn't all you than what's the point? These past few pieces really represent where I'm going with art, which takes my subject matter and just have fun with it! I love taking liberties with style and creating something loose and free!

Post Inktober

Inktober is over and it was a fun month filled with challenges and lots of drawing! My wife is going through a lot with her pregnancy and we are going to be parents again soon. With the daily drawing challenge over I'm continuing to keep up the constant sketching during this very busy season. Lately my son and I have taken a liking to Star Wars Rebels and I can't get enough of the new take on classic Star Wars ! Here's a few sketches based on my CURRENT two favorite characters!
