It's Fall Y'all!

Daily sketch: Celebrating the first day of Fall with a couple of Peanuts! Charlie Brown is always a great reminder of this time of year, thanks to the Great Pumpkin and Thanksgiving television specials. These shows allow me to fantasize that I live in a state of seasonal change. The painted backgrounds really define the mood of the season for me, they truly reflect the weather changing with just the color of the sky. One day I hope to live in a state where fall is felt and lingers for a while.

The First Week of INKTOBER complete!!!

There's a lot of good reasons to enjoy the month of October, at least I hope most of the population would think so. October is a month full of those reasons: pumpkin everything, Fall, pumpkin carving, pumpkin patches (those last two could be included in pumpkin everything I guess), Halloween, trick or treating, Universal Classic Monster Movies (really those films are good anytime of the year) and my new personal favorite Inktober. Jake Parker, a talented human being whose art I'm sure amazes too many to mention, started the whole thing. Thanks to him I can't wait for October, along with all those other reasons. So enjoy the pictures and if you feel inspired participate! Visit Mr. Parker's site and get educated:

MY FIRST WEEK OF IMAGES:

The second in a series of Fall inspired paintings, the Pumpkin Gatherer. Wish I had a top notch scanner, or a true Autumn experience. Enjoy!

I'm getting into the holiday "spirit" a little early this year!
